FAQs
What are the general requirements for AFIT Post UTME screening in 2025?
To be eligible for the AFIT Post UTME screening for 2025, candidates must have chosen the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) as their first choice institution during the 2025 UTME. They must also have scored at least 180 for degree programs or 140 for ND programs in the UTME examination. In addition, candidates must possess at least five credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
Is it compulsory to upload O’Level results before AFIT Post UTME screening?
Yes, it is compulsory for all candidates to upload their complete O’Level results to the JAMB CAPS portal before the AFIT Post UTME screening. Failure to upload these results may lead to disqualification, as AFIT verifies candidates’ academic qualifications through the JAMB database during the admission process.
What documents are required for AFIT Post UTME screening?
Candidates are required to present a printed copy of their Post UTME application slip, original and photocopies of their JAMB result slip, O’Level result(s), birth certificate or declaration of age, and a certificate of state of origin. A recent passport photograph and valid identification (such as a school ID or national ID) may also be requested during the physical screening.
Are direct entry candidates required to participate in the AFIT Post UTME screening?
Yes, direct entry (DE) candidates are also required to apply for the AFIT Post UTME screening. However, they will not take the UTME-based test. Instead, they must provide their ND, NCE, or JUPEB certificates and transcripts, along with their O’Level results, during the verification process to confirm eligibility for admission into their chosen degree programs.
