Edo Poly Admission Requirements Registration Forms
FAQs
What minimum academic qualifications are required for ND (National Diploma) admission?
To gain admission into the ND programmes, you must have at least five (5) credit passes in your O’Level examinations (e.g., WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. Additionally, you should have chosen the Polytechnic in your Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board registration or apply for change of institution where necessary.
What are the requirements for admission into HND (Higher National Diploma) programmes?
For HND admission, you must hold an ND certificate in a related discipline, usually with a minimum of Lower Credit grade, plus at least one year of post‑ND industrial training or work experience. In exceptional cases, a candidate with an ordinary pass grade may be considered if they have at least two years of post‑ND work experience.
How do I register/apply for admission and what is the process?
First, you must visit the Polytechnic’s official application portal and create an account with a valid email address. Then you proceed to select the appropriate programme (ND full‑time, ND part‑time, HND, etc.), pay the required application fee via Remita or other approved payment methods, and complete the online form including uploading required documents. Ensure you provide accurate personal and academic information and submit before the deadline.
Are there any special subject requirements for particular courses?
Yes. Many programmes require credit passes in specific subjects related to the course of interest in addition to English and Mathematics. For example, for engineering or science‑based programmes you’ll need credit in Physics and Chemistry alongside other subjects. Also, credit in Mathematics and English are compulsory across all programmes.
